When will Reliance Jio launch 5G services and which cities
Reliance Jio will roll out standalone 5G services in select cities in the country by Diwali. To begin with, Jio will launch 5G services in four metro cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.

Speaking at the IMC 2022, Bharti Airtel chairman said that Airtel will cover most parts of the country by March 2023 and the entire country by March 2024.

Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla said, “We will soon begin 5G rollout journey. We will leverage strong presence in rural India, enterprise customers, tech partners, and global expertise of Vodafone Group for progressively rolling out 5G services….” He, however, did not give a timeframe.
How will 5G services be priced
There is still no clarity on pricing of 5G services. As none of the telecom players have so far shared tariff plan for 5G services. Mukesh Ambani has promised affordable 5G services. According to an Airtel official, 5G services will be available at existing 4G rates and a new tariff for 5G will be announced after some time.
How fast is 5G compared to 4G
It is quite fast. To put in terms of numbers, 4G speed — depending on areas and connectivity — can offer up to Mbps, while 5G services are expected to support speeds of up to 300 Mbps or more.

Not at all, you will not need a new SIM for 5G. You can use your existing SIM card on a 5G-enabled phone.
